Found: Kitten

Around 1 am this morning, we found a very small black kitten, about 8 weeks old,
on Rogers near 1st Street, crying for its mother. After a lot of effort, we caught it,
and its currently in our house, in a cat carrier.

Anybody lose one out a litter?

It smells like a very sad kitten indeed.

Edit/Update:

Said kitten is actually appears to a be a mix between a Siamese and a russian blue (imagine silver gray where the tan would be on a Siamese), and is probably closer to six weeks old, and thin, but eating.
Also, a purring machine.

I don't know anything about this particular kitten, but I am noticing kittens EVERYWHERE right about now. And hearing from friends, neighbors of said random kittens' mothers, about how their neighbors feed strays but don't neuter them. Blah blah soapbox. Neuter your cats. If you feed it and it hangs around your house, it's your responsibility.

I wish I would find a damn kitten. My apartment could use one as a fixture.
